CUSCO.- According to legend, Cuzco or Cusco was a sacred city and capital of the Tahuantinsuyo empire, founded around the eleventh and twelfth centuries AD. by the Inca Manco Capac, born in the Sacred Lake Titicaca. Cusco was the center of government of four large regions of the Inca empire that extended over much of what is commonly known today as; Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.
